The OCNSG Gets Some Press in the Omaha World Herald 1

Good article where Mike was interviewed by the World Herald and published on Monday, December 30, 2013.

In it he talks about how networking is key to finding and landing a new job in your chosen career field. Sometimes you may find yourself taking a job just as a way to support yourself while continuing to look. Bottom line is God will provide and that you are not walking alone on the journey you are currently on.

While the unemployment numbers reported by the state and federal government make things appear as they are headed in the right direction, they only tell half the story.  One also needs to consider the workforce utilization rate (WFUR) – those people working as a percentage of the total population.  That number has been declining; more people dropping out of the workforce than working. If the WFUR percentage were that same today as 5 years ago the actual U3 unemployment rate reported nationally would be almost 10.5%.  A better number to look at is the U6 rate which includes underemployed and discouraged workers; that number is still over 10%.

Still be encouraged that this is a time and place God wants you to be. We don’t always understand the reasons why, but know that you are not alone in this Journey. Members of the group, the free resources the group provides, along with Mike and Jeff are all here to help.

There are always going to be times when we have more questions than answers, and even when we have the answers, we may wish for some of them to be different.  We are not meant to understand everything and that is when our faith comes into play.  Do you believe what you know to be true or what you believe to be true?   It is amazing what we can accomplish when we believe we can accomplish anything.
