The First Session of our 5-Week Series to help people find a job or launch new career kicked on on January 27.Find a new Job / Launch a New Career 5-week Series by the Omaha Career Networkgin Group

From the survey sent out after the meeting, things went pretty well.

Here are just a few comments:

“The speakers were all very knowledgeable. It was encouraging to hear they all have been down this road with searching for a job and/or changing job industries. They had great insight with the job market and how to break through applying online. Time well spent and I’m looking forward to next week!”

“You guys are giving us a great blessing in sharing what you know. Looking for a job is discouraging and disheartening at times. To know how we can search better is so so helpful. Thank you.”

“The volunteers did a WONDERFUL job!! I’m very grateful that I’ve found this group!”

The topics for Week Two are

  • Rethinking your job search
  • Interviewing tips.
  • Ten most common mistakes made in search for a new job or career.

We also appreciate the other comments we received about the room seating and conditions (light and heat) and will make whatever adjustments we can to minimize these as distractions.

For those that have registered you are good to go for the next four weeks.  Be sure to bring your ticket with you each week.
